WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN OUR TEAM
Expected qualifications, work experience and skills:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics or equivalent with knowledge of fiber optics ;
Over 10 years of experience in international sales in the high-tech industry or in original equipment manufacturing (OEM);
Bilingual (French-English, English impeccable - most of the work is done in English);
Strong process orientation (negotiation, sales, project implementation, time management, multitasking, etc.);
Strong communication skills, team player, planning and organizational skills (priority management), autonomy and initiative;
Ability to work with remotely located teams and leadership;
Creative thinker with exceptional consultative selling, business negotiation and interpersonal skills;
Available for international travel (35% of the time);
MBA degree (an asset);
Knowledge of fiber-optic technology (an asset);
Knowledge of a third language (an asset).

Provide guidance on electronics engineering development activities and advise on priorities
Drive team / employee engagement and continuous growth of the team
Manage development plans for the team and organize training sessions to grow competency
Drive engineering best practices within the team to enable platforming and maximize design reuse
Involve in the discussions with customer on technical requirements
Interface with customers to resolve problems occurring in the field
Recruit and onboard new team members
Ensure all team members have the tools they need
Coach and support less experienced team members
Design electronics boards for the research and development department, including hard ware architecture, component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout, layer stack-up
Design electronics boards to drive pulsed lasers (with pulse durations of the order of nanosecond or less) especially for LIDAR applications
Design electronics boards to drive high-power continuous lasers for laser cutting or marking applications
Work with mechanical team on component placement in PCB design
Develop test plans for board bring-up test
Perform burn-in, debugging, and optimize the performance of complex electronics circuits
Provide support to optical team for system integration
Provide support for troubleshooting all system related issues
Manage subcontractors for electronics board fabrication
Interface with suppliers for sourcing critical electronics components
