DESCRIPTION

• Provide level 1 technical support to users (hardware and software) on a Windows platform
• Escalate and resolve technical issues, user issues received through the user help service
• Install, configure and deploy new computers
• Manage installations, configuration and upgrades of IT Equipment and software
• Maintain up-to-date inventory of equipment and software
• Participate and provide on-site support to network, servers and/or workstation projects.
• Maintain and monitor backups for proper functionality and recovery
• Promote and participate in the implementation of IT security best practices
• Document all activities as required by internal processes and procedures
• Perform other duties as required

REQUIREMENTS

Education : DEC/AEC technical or DES/DEP combined with relevant experience; MCSE, MCP or other certification would be an asset.
                            
Experience : Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position.                                       
Knowledge : Good knowledge of desktops and laptops, print drivers and basic application support; Good knowledge of standard operating systems and enterprise software; Good knowledge of Microsoft Office (macros Excel, VBA)
Knowledge of programming languages (JAVA, VB, VB.net, Python, others) will be considered an asset.

Skills: Strong customer service and communication skills; excellent self-management and teamwork skills, and ability to meet tight deadlines; Strong organizational, prioritization and problem solving skills; Ability to learn quickly. Ability to do heavy lifting and physical work as required. Fluency in written and oral communication in both English and French.

DESCRIPTION

• Design, implement, and maintain software application portfolio using LabVIEW™
• Perform design, code review and debugging using established coding standards

DESCRIPTION

• Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team and partners on the projects of superior complexity.

• Manage multidisciplinary project schedules.

• Manage a team of researchers and technicians to achieve the objectives of the R&D group.

• Model theoretical laser designs to minimize the number of experiments required for each new element.

The candidate must have extensive experience in the field of fiber optics (fused components, FBG, fiber lasers, etc.), as well as in writing technical reports and scientific papers. Modeling and experimental profile.

Knowledge :    Microsoft office (Matlab and Python are an asset)

Skills :  Autonomy, versatility, organization, bilingual (French/English).

TASKS

• Design electronics boards for the research and development department, including hard ware architecture, component selection, schematic capture, PCB layout, layer stack-up
• Design electronics boards to drive pulsed lasers (with pulse durations of the order of nanosecond or less) especially for LIDAR applications

• Design electronics boards to drive high-power continuous lasers for laser cutting or marking applications

• Work with mechanical team on component placement in PCB design

• Perform burn-in, debugging,  and optimize the performance of complex electronics circuits.

• Participate in the firmware design of new products

REQUIREMENTS

• 5 to 10 years of experience in analog, digital circuit design on embedded platforms
• Experience in hardware architecture and with a full development cycle, from prototyping to production
• Perform circuit analysis and simulation using LTSpice or equivalent
• Schematic capture and PCB layout design
• Embedded C  programming experience on various microcontrollers
• Windows application development and deployment experience
• Web based application development experience (asset)

• Extensive knowledge of analog, digital and mixed signal circuit design and analysis
• Strong knowledge of Altium
• Knowledge of PCB design and the various technologies available (multilayer/flex/metal core...)
• Strong knowledge of using lab test instruments such as Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Power Supply, Multimeter, Probes…
• Knowledge of communication protocols and standards USB, TCP/IP, UART
• Knowledge of interfacing various components and sensors, SPI, I2C, ADC, DAC…
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC requirements and how to design for mitigate related issues in design
• Knowledge of C# and JavaScript
• Knowledge of VHDL (asset)

• Develop and implement a business plan to drive revenue growth;
