If you need Fiber Bragg Gratings for a sensing application, we’ve got you covered

for strain and temperature sensing, you need A precise response

Our Fiber Bragg Gratings written on fiber optics provide incredible resolution and robustness for temperature or mechanical strain sensing application. Their application range from transport, aviation and aerospace sensing to industrial and oil & gas applications. Our extremely controlled FBG writing process yield precise central wavelengths, bandwidth, grating position and grating length, for the best measurement accuracy and sensitivity.

features of our FBG SENSORS

SINGLE FBG

ITF Technologies’ Fiber Bragg Gratings for sensor applications are manufactured with a robust process that has been proven over the years that will give you the highest quality with optimum optical and mechanical performances at low price. Our specifications are also highly customizable if you need a FBG with particular optical characteristics or on a custom optical fiber. Standard specifications include specialized acrylate or polyimide coated fibers, with precise peak wavelengths and high mechanical strength.

FBG ARRAY

When your application requires multiple gratings over a long or short distance, we can also provide splice-less FBG arrays with a wide variety of optical and mechanical parameters. Up to km-long and dozens, either repeating the same FBG or with a complete control of the optical parameters of each individual grating.

Here’s what you need to know about ITF's fbg sensors

Our FBG writing process can produce very high strength gratings, with up to 400 kpsi mechanical resistance. In terms of optical characteristics, both very low or very high reflectivity values are possible, with a wide range of central wavelengths and bandwidths available to match the spectral shape you need. We can work both with acrylate (standard or high-temperature) and polyimide coated fibers, recoating them right after the FBG writing step for optimal process stability and reliability.

ITF’s FBG sensors top of the line specifications means that when in use in real-life applications, the data acquired by an optical interrogator will be accurate, repeatable and trustworthy.
