ITF Telecom's Fiber Bragg Grating products for telecom applications include pump lockers for fiber lasers and amplifier systems, including the 9XXnm range for EDFA systems and 14XXnm window for Raman amplifiers. They are available on PM or non-PM fiber. These products are offered with a very high production capacity to meet large volume demands. ITF Telecom also developed a method to write FBGs with total control of the shape of the reflectivity spectrum. This has a direct application for gain flattening filters, where the grating spectrum is custom-designed to flatten an EDFA or Raman gain curve. They are used to improve the performance and simplify the system design for DWDM submarine systems. They feature low insertion loss, PDL and PMD, and are available with our athermal packaging for undersea applications, with a proven record of reliability field data.
