With our source, a lidar system can have a beam divergence of much less than the most stringent automotive requirement of 0.1*0.1 degrees. This kind of power and resolution are needed to detect pedestrians and other obstacles, for example in the famous “tire or muffler on the road” scenario.
Compact design for easy integration. Our different configurations start as small as 50x80x15 mm with optimized power consumption. Control electronics with flexibility, to give you power over your system. We have a true OEM philosophy: we can customize the electrical interface and software design to match your needs. Optional second optical output for synchronization.
The units are individually tested in operation from -40°C to +85°C, so you know it will handle harsh temperature environments. It’s made to resist our Canadian winters after all!
Safety is one of our key features and has been a priority from the start. That’s why we incorporate safety mechanisms at all levels. First optical safety, we operate at 1550nm, the accepted eye safe wavelength then built into the software, we calculate output power at all time for careful monitoring and finally integrated in our hardware, with a built in redundant power limit measurement.
